SlipFit™ Foam Healers are designed for controlled wet refinement of dry metal clay. Use them to blend visible seams where components have been joined, soften rough edges, smooth small surface imperfections, remove excess clay, and refine difficult areas before firing.

Unlike a simple piece of foam, each Foam Healer has a purpose-shaped working edge with clearly marked dimensions, giving you a choice of tip sizes for the area you’re refining.

Why Different Tip Sizes?

Not every seam—or every piece of metal clay—is the same.

The graduated tips allow you to choose a working edge appropriate to the area you’re refining. Wider tips are useful for broader surfaces and transitions, while smaller tips provide greater precision around details and confined areas.

The Wedge Tips provide another approach angle for reaching edges, seams, corners, and transitions where a conventional rounded working edge may not be ideal.

Standard or Mini?

Choose Standard for everyday greenware refinement and larger working areas.

Choose Mini when you’re working on smaller pieces, detailed areas, or places where a full-size healer feels too large.

Or choose the Complete Set and have both sizes available at the bench—because the seam you need to fix is rarely considerate enough to be the perfect size for the tool you happen to have in your hand.

Designed for Metal Clay Greenware

Use Foam Healers with a small amount of water to gently refine dry, unfired metal clay. Work gradually and allow moisture to do the work rather than aggressively abrading the surface.
